Alumni Testimonials

The real-world experience combined with the focused curriculum gave me a powerful platform to merge my technical and managerial education and experience. A key part of Oakland’s MSITM program is the capstone project. It allows students to utilize their new skills on a real-world issue presented by a sponsoring organization. I was able to turn my capstone project into an internship for additional experience, then secure a professional position after graduation.

I couldn’t decide whether to choose data or programming because I loved both. I was able to pursue both interests with the data analytics specialization in OU’s MSITM. I gained experience through two projects, one for Ford the other for Henry Ford Health System (HFHS). After graduating, I moved from research assistant to access technology analyst at HFHS.
